Most rooms we paint in the Bronx are inside apartment buildings: walk-ups off the Grand Concourse, elevator co-ops in Riverdale and Parkchester, and the upper and lower floors of two family brick houses in Morris Park and Pelham Bay. The older buildings have plaster on lath or on masonry. The newer ones and most renovated units have drywall. We check which one you have at the estimate, because the repair method and the primer are different for each and the quote should say so.

Can you paint my apartment while I live in it?
Yes. We work one or two rooms at a time, so you always have a place to sleep and a way to the kitchen and bathroom. Furniture stays in the room under plastic. Tell us at the estimate which rooms you need back first.
Do you paint over the old paint on radiators and steam pipes?
We can. Loose paint is removed, rust is primed and the finish is a paint rated for the heat. The work is done with the heat off, so radiators are easiest outside the heating season.
My landlord says the walls must go back to white when I leave. Can you help?
Yes. Covering a strong color with white takes a primer coat and two finish coats to hide it evenly. Tell us the date you must hand back the keys and we plan around it.
